CONF. 35 EXPLANATIONS ABOUT THE FAMILY AND ATTACHMENTS

The objectives of this conference are:

• Understand what the family is and the misconceptions we have about it
• To see the value that it has in esoteric work.
• The problems it causes in the development of esoteric work.
• The stagnation and conflicts generated by attachment.

• We have three families:

1.- The first kind of family is related to the external world, where we find our Physical Body and Personality. The Physical Family: father, mother, siblings, wife, children, uncles, cousins, grandparents, grandchildren, etc.

2- A second family related to the Soul, or Mind or Energy. This part of the soul is what we are going to call our inner world. The Psychological Family: all our Ego or ways of being of oneself, the 97% of Essence or Consciousness trapped.

3- The third family is the one related to Spirit or Consciousness, it is the part that we are going to call our inner world of the interior. The Royal Family: the 3% of Free Conscience, to which we will add all that we rescue from the psychological prison. Each of these psychological elements that we have has a real and true part that is trapped inside.

• LET'S ANALYZE THE PHYSICAL FAMILY:

• Undoubtedly, we all need the physical body to be able to exist and do the Work.
• We all have the right to have 108 human physical bodies (Law of Return).
• This implies that we must be born 108 times. Therefore, we will have 108 mothers and 108 fathers.
• It also implies that we will have to pay for the different bodies that have been given to us (Laws of Return and Recurrence).
• The human being at birth is defenseless, so we must have a mother to take care of us, until we can defend ourselves.
• People born of the same mother are called brothers and sisters. Which of all the 108 mothers we have had is the real one? Which of the 108 fathers we have had is the real one? Which of all the thousands of brothers we have had are the real ones?
• We return in the seed of our descendants. For the reproduction of the species it is necessary to find a mate.
• The creation of the Existential Bodies of the Being will be done in sex and for that we must have a stable partner.
• For this reason, we see the importance of having a physical family.
• The wife is a sister who is collaborating with us, and we are helping her.
• The children are brothers and sisters to whom we committed ourselves to collaborate.
• We see street people as strangers because they were not born in our house. We do not understand that they are our brothers. Isn't our home planet Earth?
• Attachments do not allow us to understand that all human beings are brothers and sisters to each other and there is no other bond or title.

• Let us analyze the Psychological Family: 

The inner family is made up of elements called defects, which manage the different energies of the centers of the machine. This inner family was formed by the misuse of the Sexual Creative Energy.

All the untransformed impressions, due to lack of concentration, create more psychological defects; later, with the passage of time, we have created a legion.

There are defects of all models, but each has its own percentage of sparks or trapped essence, formed by the totality of energy that it has absorbed throughout its existence. That happens every time we feed the defect. The sum of these is our psychological family, or inner world.

All defects are synthesized in the Seven Cause Defects: Laziness, Greed, Lust, Pride, Anger, Gluttony and Envy.

As the poet from Mantua said, even if we had a palate of steel and a thousand tongues, we would not be able to describe them in a complete way.

These defects are all our vices, desires, mistakes, sufferings, pleasures, reactions, etc. And they are dearer to us than the physical children themselves.

Hence the attachment we have to them. You will see it, and verify it, when you advance in the work of Psychological Death

• Let's analyze the Royal Family:

We call it the true family because it will eternally exist. Our Being is made up of many parts, all of them are splits of our Father:

• God as Father represents our wisdom.
• God as Mother is our Essence, our raw material, our Creative Energy of the Holy Spirit, our Love.
• God as Son symbolizes Justice, the Psychological Coach, the giver of Light (Wisdom) and Fire (Love). These three primary forces unfold within us into three others, which are:
• Atman. The Innermost, the Ineffable, the Warrior.
• Budhi. Our Divine Soul, the Walkiria.
• Manas. The Will Christ, the Word. Our human soul.

They are also:

• The Inner Christ.
• The Twelve Apostles.
• The Twenty-Four Elderly Bakers.
• The Four devas-rajas, etc.

To the extent that we work in the Three Factors, and the Revolution of Consciousness advances, the Integration of our Being begins. We are seeing that all those sparks, which are currently trapped in the legion, are being released and integrated in order to achieve the Sacred Individuality, since in the end they will all be a Unity.

• Now let's look at the question of Attachments: 

What are we attached to? Why do we think that being attached is being in love? What are our attachments based on?

As studied in the Conference on Non-Identification with the things of daily living, we can see that all attachments have their origin in fear, that the Devil disguises himself as love through attachment.

This issue of attachment is terrible. It ends up delaying and even paralyzing the possibility of Self- realization if we do not understand it perfectly.

A male and a female come together and the first thing they look for is a roof. Then they begin to fill it with furniture, and then they take root. Later come the children, the property, the goods and a thousand other nonsense.

We stick to all the comforts. We suffer at the thought of losing them, we think what our life would be like without it, we feel in things and people, we have become accustomed to them. We don't want to be uncomfortable. We feel that this cost us a lot of work. We thought that to be without them would be like going backwards. We are concerned about what they will say, what they will think, etc.

When have you seen a burial with a move?

We feel we are the owners of the children, of the wife, of the husband, and this prevents us from seeing the reality of things. The transient of all things and circumstances of life.

The reality is that each of our children must learn to fend for themselves. That each of them will reach youth and begin their own path.

That our responsibility is to take care of them until they develop and form their own homes.

But the most interesting thing is when a person learns astral projection consciously and discovers that he has no real physical family. There, he would forget about it. And if you were asked, "Who are all the sparks on the planet?" he would say that they are all his sisters, because they all form the same as him, the Great Family of the inhabitants of Planet Earth.

Then, with that Consciousness, he would say: "Well, then... who is my mother?" Well, she is a sister, someone who helped me to have my physical body, which she owed me." Who is my dad?" The same. "Who are my children?" People to whom I have to pay something I owed, and so on. They gave me a body before and now I give them a body, it's that simple.

When life begins to be seen in this way, we can begin to cause great changes in our psychology.

Let's study this a little more: when a person dies, after about three months, he carries out the process of detachment from his family, and forgets all this. He stays living in his inner world. There he develops perfectly, in the world of the Soul. If he is conscious, he can continue to live consciously. If he is asleep he will live hypnotized in that inner world, waiting for another physical body to be given to return to planet Earth.

A serious problem in Esotericism is given by attachment. When you are working in the inner world, you have to go through the trials.

And the tests are won or lost. If one is very attached, one usually fails the test.

It is necessary to understand the conflict that exists with the family and attachments, to be very clear, very well understood, so as not to get stuck at work.

When it comes to, for example, the decision of the Paths, the Direct Path or the Path of Nirvana, the serious conflict through which one passes. Out of a thousand (1,000) initiates, only one decides on the Direct Path. The remaining nine hundred and ninety-nine (999) enter this Path of Nirvana, by attachment to the Cause Defects. Those defects do not let you go down the Direct Path, they make a mess of you, and make you choose the path of Nirvana. But we are going to see on the physical plane with the true esoteric worker.

When the person awakens Consciousness with esoteric work, he begins to meet the Lords of the Law on a daily basis. That is like being a lawyer, every day you have to go to court up to two or three times, because you are negotiating karma. The Karma of seven existences is being paid. There are crimes that are so serious and karmas so heavy that if they were to take their toll on us, we would not be able to perform ourselves. Therefore, it is necessary to be negotiating every day.

At a certain moment the master Anubis can appear and tell us: "Look, such karma comes to you, you have to negotiate it in such a way". And one could say, "Well, let's do that." But no. I am going to give as an example the case of a colleague of ours:

One night, in the astral world, he met Anubis, who told him: "Look, karma comes to you out of pride and you get a leprosy." He replied: "Can I negotiate it?" "Yes, you will go to Brazil in two months to look for a brother."

The man arrived at the physical plane, scratched his head and thought: my wife, my children, my children's school, my house, my farm, my conference rooms, my classmates, my comforts, my friends, my language, my money, my income, etc. How am I going to get there\!

The truth of the matter is that he looked for Anubis and told him: "I am not going, send me the leprosy". Two months later, the family took him to “God’s Water” and put him there for fifteen years.

The man decided to pay with pain. After two months he had no wife, no children, no car, no house, no farm. If he had gone to do his work he would not have suffered so much, but the attachment to his things sank him terribly.

There are many similar cases to this case. When the family weighs more than the Work, there is no possibility that any test can be passed. It is important, then, that every person who is trying the self-realization reflects and understands what the true position of each thing is.

All the values that society has given to the family repeat the structure of society itself. When human beings were nomads, and we traveled all over the planet, we moved, we were not planted.

If we understand this, we will be able to do the work in one existence, we will be able to move forward at the moment when we have to make the decisions.

There are four tests that are incessantly put to us when we are in this work. They are the tests of Air, Fire, Water and Earth.

No one would pass the tests of Air if they have attachments. Every time we are thrown into an abyss internally and we scream, that cry is an unmistakable symptom of an attachment.

Attachment to the physical body, attachment to this, attachment to that, to a child, to a thing, etc. And the Masters make us see it internally by throwing us from above. Then we felt the fear of losing and we screamed.

If we were aware that every time we buy one more dressing for the house we divide and divide our love, and that when we are seeking self-realization we are integrating love, we would not need to throw away the house or get rid of it but understand why we want it the way we want it. If we succeed in doing so, we will not need to divest ourselves of the family.

Family is a duty. But we have to know how far the duties and rights within the family go in order to be able to advance consciously in the integration of the Real Family and the disintegration of the psychological family.
